This Sydney band continues to capture audiences of all ages wherever and whenever they appear. Bringing a new perspective and a modern edge as well as original songs that have been reviewed as “songs that will very well become classics for new generations of Australians”

Simply Bushed has been honored with multiple awards as they continue to write in the style of our timeless heritage music which is oozing with modern relevance. This band has cleverly incorporated all styles of Australian music.

Original music by this unique Australian Music act has featured on CMC and received widespread airplay in Australia and Internationally .

Having appeared at every type of venue from front bars in little country pubs  to the largest country music festivals in Australia , Simply Bushed will connect with an audience numbering from 5 to 5000 and aged the same.

SIMPLY BUSHED has appeared at music festivals including Gympie Muster, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Mud Bulls and Music, Music in the Mulga, Blue Water Festival and the Bunyip Festival.

Paul Grierson (Grier) – Lead Vocals, Lead guitar, Mandolin

Simply Bushed is the first band Paully joined and at the time he did know at least three chords but wasn’t really certain of what a key was. These days he is the front man for the band, playing and singing up a storm.

Lately, Paul has been knocking out some of his own thoughts and experiences in the form of original songs. With a great response for the first effort, this area of the band will only grow and become a stronger focus.

However, All you really need to worry about is that the mulleted, ratbaggy one is there to inflict a great time on anyone within coooeeee!

Chris Rieger (Riegs) – Lead Vocals, Acoustic guitar, Banjo

Chris is the other front man for Simply Bushed.  Together with Paul he will help take you on the enjoyable journey that is “Simply Bushed”.

Having played in many bands, he has truly found his belonging with “Simply Bushed”

John Healey (Padre) – Vocals, Bass

We call him Padre because he is one… We also call him Heals, and he served a 24 year apprenticeship (he was but a boy when he started) in Bush and Irish bands to get him ready for Simply Bushed! With the band for just on a year now, he loves a good harmony as much as the next singing bass player.

Niko Downing – Drums,Vocals

Niko has travelled the world and played in many different bands of many genres.  He captivates the audience with his “Un-dying” enthusiasm and drumming ability. He is a show in himself.

On the Bench

Steve Stuut – Vocals, Drums and Percussion, whacky noises!

Stunno’s is another of the original members of the band and we will always treasure him for that! But due to his recent “self-booting”, Stunnos has tearfully moved himself to the bench on the promise he will be available for selection from “time to time” in the future.

He has always been a rock solid bloke and drummer. What we didn’t know about was the quirky sense of humour, the ability to pump out any amount of timely sound effects and beautiful harmonies. Some of the bands most requested songs were written by Stunno’s. Steve came to Simply Bushed with a heap of musicianship and experience which is what held the band together in the early days (musically speaking !!)

Alex Cronin: Call him Al, call him Lex, just don’t call him late for dinner! Lex is hitting out on the fiddle with us as and when required and has officially scored “demon” status on several occasions. He also plays a tasty harmonica, which on “I’ll See Ya” pretty much made that song the highlight of the festival in Tamworth 2011.

Dave Roberts: A legend drummer and a wonderful bloke. Dave has performed with many great artists in the industry. We occasionally refer to him as “The Rash” as he is generally “all over” any new songs we throw at him.

Charlie Lee: Bass Playing Legend, Charlie is still heavily involved in song writing with Paul on a weekly basis and is still helping the band from behind the scenes. Charlie also has special skills involving pulling Grier into line as is required.

Glenn Skarratt: Mandolin/Bass Player and all-round muso extraordinaire, Glenn has come on board to do a few bass gigs for us, notably joining in for the 2010 Tamworth Festival . Glenn’s inclusion brings the bands redheadedness to a grand 40%, which has pleased Grier no end . You will also hear Glenn’s mando playing on “Look At The Time.”
